Read Local Author Fair

The West Linn Public Library will host a Read Local Author Fair on Saturday, March 1st from 12-2 PM. This free event serves to provide a platform for local writers to showcase their work, connect with interested readers, and network with other area authors. It is also an exciting event for readers to explore new authors, talk with them, learn about the writing process, and peruse their books ‐ and have books signed, as well! Applications for this program will be accepted starting November 1, 2024.

Tuesday, November 12  |   Community Room   |    6:30-7:30

Form teams of up to five people and join us at the library for trivia fun! We will have five 10-question rounds and each round will be a different category. Snacks will be served. All ages welcome. The game starts promptly at 6:30 pm so arrive a few minutes early.

Gnome Party! Grades K-5

November 20 | 3:30-4:30pm | The Hollow

Is it November or Gnomevember?! We like to celebrate it as Gnomevember, and the only way to do that is with a Gnome Party! Drawing from one of our favorite graphic novels, Gnome and Rat, we will be hosting a party complete with crafts, treats, a read-aloud, and more. Feel free to wear your best gnome outfit, and be ready to party!

Speed Friending

Welcome to our Speed Friending Library Program! Are you in your 40s or 50s or 60s looking to make new friends and expand your social circle? Look no further! Our program is designed to bring people together in a fun, low stress, and interactive way. Our friendly and welcoming environment ensures that everyone feels comfortable and included. You'll engage in short, structured conversations with different participants, allowing you to quickly get to know each other and find common ground. Registration is requested.

Jigsaw Puzzle Swap

November 23rd  |  Community Room  |  10:00  AM - 11:30 AM  

Give a puzzle, get a new puzzle in exchange at our Jigsaw Puzzle Swap! Gently used puzzles (in their original box) will be accepted at the Circulation Desk for a voucher starting Saturday, November 16th to Friday,  November 22nd  at 6:00 PM. The swap will occur on November 23rd  starting at 10 AM. Puzzles will be open to all from 10:45 AM -11:30 AM on only November 22nd, no vouchers needed.
