Our fourth annual Library Comic Con wouldn't be complete without a cosplay takeover of the library. The Comic Con Library Takeover welcomes everyone to wear their costume, and enjoy a night of fun with Trivia, Fan Rants, DND Speed Play, a Comic Book Swap, Prizes, and of course, our Cosplay Runway.
Comic Book Swap: Leave a comic and take a comic in our Comic Book Swap!
Convince Me Otherwise (Opening Panel): Librarian Heidi feels like Fantasy Fiction is just not right for her. Join Librarians Caitrin and Sara in convincing her that there is something for everyone!
DND Speed Play: Whether you're new to DND or you're a pro, this speed campaign is for you. West Linn is in need of some heroes! Grab your grandfather’s sword and head out from your urban farm to answer the call. With a party of like minded adventurers assembled, you’ll acquire all the spells and weapons you need to take part in a rapid-fire battle for gold, glory and good. If it’s your first table top adventure, our experienced DM will guide you through the rules of dice-based combat and get you comfortable with the game in no time! If you have tossed your share of dice before, feel free to bring your own Level 2 character to enter the fray!
Fan Rant: Share your love for your favorite fandom with a Fan Rant! Take this chance to gush about your favorite series, character, and more. Have predictions for future episodes/the future? Want to explain some lore, or chat about something you would change? The stage is yours! Participants will have three minutes to rant about any topic of their choice. The audience will have up to two minutes to respond or ask questions. Though not required, if you want to create and use a visual aid for your Fan Rant, such as a short video, picture, collage, or slideshow, you may sign up ahead of time. Submissions should be submitted to wlref@lincc.org by October 16th at 4 pm.
"Um Actually" Trivia: Groups have the chance to compete against each other to answer questions on Anime, Manga, Geek culture, and more in the form of "Umm Actually" responses.
