City of West Linn FY 2010 Grant Requests

The following organizations successfully submitted grant requests for the FY 2010 "community grants" program. These requests will be evaluated by the citizen members of the Citizens Budget Committee and a recommendation will be made to the committee for inclusion in the 2010 budget. A successful grant application was submitted by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4: 1. Arts Festival in the Forest 2. A-WOL Dance Collective 3. Friends of the West Linn Library 4. Green Energy Solutions 5. Happy Trails Riding Center 6. Life Support Community Center 7. Raving Dove, Inc. 8. Tanner Basin Neighborhood Association 9. West Linn Arts Festival 10. West Linn Community Chorus 11. West Linn Food Pantry 12. West Linn Trails Group 13. Willamette Falls Television -------------- WEST LINN –The City of West Linn has a limited amount of funding available for community organizations’ requests for support for their yearly events, operations, and activities. Community organizations are asked to submit a standardized form so all requests received by the City of West Linn can be similarly evaluated during the budget development process for fiscal year 2010. A copy of this form is attached to this release, and is also available via direct link on the City of West Linn home page: http://westlinnoregon.gov. Neighborhood Associations are not required to complete this form to receive funding. The grant request form is designed for community-based organizations that are interested in receiving grant funding for specific, planned events and activities occurring between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. Although the City budgets on a biennial (two-year) basis, the request must be submitted for the first year (FY 2010) only. Grant request forms are due by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009. Forms must be emailed to kwyatt@westlinnoregon.gov. Submitted forms will be evaluated during the development of the City Manager’s Proposed Budget, scheduled for release in on April 27, 2009.
