City of West Linn's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Mission and Values

The City of West Linn is committed to fostering an environment where everyone belongs.

In March 2024 City Manager John Williams approved a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Mission and Values Statement for the City of West Linn organization. This statement was developed over several months by the City's internal Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee, with input from all City staff. These values will be the basis for the City’s approach moving forward, guiding how staff work with each other and how we work with the West Linn community. Over time, departments will further develop strategies and actions based on these values. Much work is already underway. We believe we are better when we work together and we believe that when everyone feels a sense of belonging, we all are stronger. We look forward to continuing and expanding our wide range of partnerships with the West Linn community over time.
