2024 Mayor & City Council Race
ELECTION DATE: Tuesday, NOVEMBER 5, 2024 - West Linn Mayor and Two Councilor Vacancies
The City of West Linn is now accepting candidate applications for the positions of Mayor and City Councilor. One Mayor and two City Councilor terms expire on December 31, 2024. The election for these positions are scheduled for November 5, 2024. The individuals who are elected will begin serving in January 2025 and their term will run through December 31, 2028.
To run for office in West Linn, candidates must be a qualified elector (registered voter) under the State Constitution (Oregon Constitution, Article II, Section 2) and have resided in the City during the twelve months immediately prior to the election. Elected Officials must continue to be residents of the City during their entire term of office.
The City Recorder is accepting candidate filings (Form SEL 101) until 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. To apply to run in the Council election please fill out the application form SEL 101 (Candidate Filing – Major Political Party or Nonpartisan) and drop off at West Linn City Hall, 2nd Floor. This form is available on the Oregon Secretary of State's Voting & Elections page by selecting the Manuals, Forms, Tutorials, and Election Laws.
The Clackamas County Elections Office will report results at their elections results page when available.
