Registration to View CCPOA Public Bargaining Session - August 30, 2021
The next CCPOA bargaining session will be publicly viewable on August 30, 2021, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
The public bargaining session will be viewable live via virtual meeting. Anyone who wants to observe open session bargaining must register to attend and agree to the Observer Rules. These sessions will not be recorded.

By registering to receive a live link to observe bargaining, you agree to the following rules:
The City of West Linn and the Clackamas County Peace Officers Association (Union) are meeting for the purpose of collective bargaining under the Public Employee Collective Bargaining Act. “Observers” is defined to mean persons who are: (a) members of the public; and (b) who are not City employees; and (c) who are not Union members; (d) who have no direct or indirect responsibility for bargaining on behalf of either the City or the Union; and (e) who are not confidential viewers.
The City and the Union mutually agree that Observers are being allowed to attend the bargaining sessions hosted by the City by the mutual agreement of the City and the Union. Observer presence is allowed pursuant to the terms and conditions set out below; any observer who violates these terms and conditions will be asked to leave the meeting and may be excluded from that bargaining session.
- Observers may not video or audio record or take photographs during the session.
- Live social media reporting, such as blogging and tweeting, is not permitted. For any live in-person open sessions, Observers may not use cell phones, tablets, laptops or similar devices during the bargaining session.
- Observers are not permitted to speak or participate while negotiations are occurring.
- Observers may not be disruptive, as judged by the City’s representative.
- For sessions hosted by virtual meetings, Observers are required to sign into bargaining sessions as required by the webinar rules, or for any live in-person open session, to sign a sign-in sheet with the time they arrive and the time they leave.
- Observers are not permitted to attend caucuses or sidebar meetings.
- For any live in-person open sessions, Observers will be seated at a reasonable distance from the bargaining teams, generally defined by the parties as no less than eight feet.
- For any live in-person open sessions, Observers are not permitted to possesses weapons at the meeting.
