TIF Advisory Committee
Council created a community TIF Advisory Committee to review the feasibility study and form recommendations to the City Council on a Tax Increment Finance District. While not required by law, this is a best practice to ensure the community and impacted taxing districts (e.g. Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, West Linn-Wilsonville School District, etc.) are represented at the table during the process. Membership included community members as well as representatives from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue staff, Portland General Electric, Planning Commission, West Linn-Wilsonville School District, Budget Committee, Economic Development Committee, Historic Willamette Main Street, neighborhood associations, and area large property holders.
