Calaroga Pump Station- Construction
Upgrade and relocation of the Calaroga sanitary sewer pump station within its current site to above the flood plain and adjacent to Calaroga Drive. The project will also include modernization of pump equipment and controls and improved maintenance access.
Status Updates
11/4/2024- Crews have begun installing wet well sections and back filling the hole. Work on the connection between the old and new stations has begun, with crews digging a trench for the connecting pipe.
10/23/2024- Internet utilities completed relocation of services.
10/14/2024- Contractor is awaiting delivery of concrete wet well sections to install. Temporary bypass line for the existing pressure main installed to manhole south of project site.
9/26/2024- Crews are continuing to dig the wet well.
9/18/2024- Crews have begun installing shoring to create a safe work space, while they dig the new wet well.
9/12/2024- The contractor has begun mobilizing in equipment to dig the new wet well. Internet providers have removed their lines in preparation for the removal of overhead power lines to allow for more range of motion for excavation.
8/21/2024- Crews have been working to underground utilities and have begun mobilizing in equipment.
8/8/2024- Calaroga Drive will be closed at 3821 Calaroga Drive for pump station construction starting 8/14. The closure is expected to last three months, weather permitting.
8/5/2024- City Staff will be at the 8/13 RNA meeting to discuss the start of construction.
6/17/2024- Construction contract approved by City Council.
